Back 9

Owen Elliott (8) set the early pace after opening with two pars and a birdie to lead by two points from Jordan Barnes (7) (two pars and a bogey) and Colin Thompson (5) (birdie, bogey, par). Stephen Logan (6) (bogey, par, par) was another point behind followed by Tony Quinn (10) (double bogey, bogey, bogey) a further point down. Elliott continued to lead through Beechers after a par at The Maple followed by a bogey and a par. He was under pressure from Barnes (par, par, birdie), Logan (birdie, par, birdie), and an improved Quinn (par, birdie, par) who had all closed to within one point. Thompson (par, bogey, par) was another three points behind at this stage. Elliott increased his lead over the closing three holes with pars at the Grove and the Lowlands and a bogey at the closing hole to win by two points from Barnes (two bogeys and a par) and Quinn (par, double bogey, par). Second place went to Quinn with a better last six. Logan (double bogeyed the Grove followed by a bogey and a par) and Thompson (bogey, par, birdie) finished together another point behind. Logan came fourth with a better last six.

Patrick Dallat (-2) won the Gross with 21 gr/pts.

Twos were recorded by – A.Moore, G.Jackson, O.Elliott, P.Dallat, A.Rouke, J.Nicholl, T.Quinn, M.Dunlop, M.Hamilton, P.Steenson, Rod Lennox, P.Galloway, M.Sharpe, B.Cull, J.Sutherland and J.Hood.

 

Front 9

The Front 9 turned into a close contest throughout. Through the Trout Hole Sean Mullan (7) after opening with a birdie,, bogey and a par and Ciaran Doherty (par, par, bogey) were vying for the lead a point ahead of William McKigney (10) (double bogey, bogey, birdie). Keith Dinsmore (7) (par, 'ding', par) was another point behind. Mullan, with two pars and a double bogey was leading through Broadmeadows but being hotly pursued by Doherty (par, bogey, double bogey) McKigney (bogey, double bogey, par) and Dinsmore (par, bogey, par) a point behind. In a close finish Mullan parred The Treasury,, bogeyed the Sanctuary and finished with a par at Longlands. An improving Dinsmore birdied The Treasury and finished bogey, par to draw level with Mullan. First place went to Dinsmore with a better last six. McKigney finished with a par and two bogeys, a point behind in third place. Doherty with a par and two bogeys came in a point outside the placings.

The Gross was won by Peter McMullan (3) with 16 gr/pts.
