After opening with a birdie and two pars Thomas McNeill, playing off an adjusted handicap of two, was leading by one point at The Maple from Seamus Laverty (5). Andrew McCartney (9), Gary Hood (4) and Michael Reid (-3) were one, two and four points fyrther back respectively. McNeill and Laverty parred The Maple and the Devils Elbow. Laverty joined McNeill in the lead at the next hole (Beechers) after another par to a bogey from McNeill. McCartney (bogey, birdie; 'ding') and Reid (two pars and a birdie) were two points behind with Hood (par, bogey, par) another point down. Laverty finished par, bogey, par to win by one point from McNeill (birdie, par, par). Hood (two pars and a birdie) and Mc|Cartney (par, bogey, par) finished together another point behind with third ploace going to Gary Hood with a better last six. McCartney came fourth with a better last six and Michaerl Reid won the Gross with 20 gr/pts.

A very close and exciting finish with the first four players finishing with the same number of points. 

Through the Trout Hole Zachary Kane (2) and Willie Park (3) were vying for the lead two points ahead of Rory Drysdale (6) ('ding' at Lillyvale) and Gary Coulter (10) ('ding' at the opening hole). Kane and Park recorded pars over the next three holes and were joined in the lead by Coulter with two pars and a bogey. Drysdale was two points behind after a par at The Niuc followed by two bogeys. What a finish lay ahead! Kane finished with birdies at The Treasury and the Sanctuary and an eagle three at Longlands and was joined by Park with a birdie, par and an eagle, Coulter with a birdie, bogey and a birdie and an improved Drysdale who finished par, birdie and an albatross at Longlands. First place went to Drysdale with a better last three and in second place came Coulter with a better last six. Kane and Park tied for third place.

Patrick Dallat (-3) won the Gross with 22 gr/pts.
