Through Arthurs Seat Raymond Steele playing off a reduced handicap of ten and Peter Elliott playing off fourteen were leading by a point from David Gault (3). William McKigney (8) after failing to score at the opening hole was another four points behind. Over Beechers, Elliott after a bogey, par and another bogey was leading by a point from Steele with a par followed by a 'ding' at the Devils Elbow and a par at Beechers and Gault with a birdie at The Maple followed by two pars. McKigney (bogey and two pars) was still another four points down. In a very close finish Elliott came in with a par at the Grove and two triple bogeys and was joined by Steele with a bogey, par, bogey finish. First place went to Steele with a better last six. A point behind came Gault with a bogey and two pars and an improved McKigney (par, birdie, par). McKigney finished third with a better last six and Gault came fourth with a betterr last six.

Jordan Hood (-4) won the Gross with 21 gr/pts.

Twos were recorded by – A.Brown, J.Caulfield, C.Lawton, P.McMullan, J.Mairs, A.McCart, L.Campbell, L.Darragh, I.McCully, G.Henry, B.Cull, A.Martin, J.Sutherland, J.Hood and M.Reid.

 

Front 9

William Kennedy (9) opened with a bogey and two pars to take an early lead of two points over Trevor Galloway (9) with three bogeys and Josh Nicholl (-2) who opened with two pars and a birdie. David Stirling (5) was another point behind after opening with two pars and a 'ding' at the Trout Hole. Kennedy was still leading through Broadmeadows after two pars and a double bogey at Broadmeadows by a point from Galloway (two pars and a bogey). Stirling (par and two bogeys) and Nicholl (three pars) were another two points behind. Galloway came with a late run of two pars and an eagle three at Longlands to win by one point from Kennedy (three pars). Another three points behind came Stirling in third place with a birdie, par. birdie finish. Nicholl (par, birdie eagle) was a further point behind the placings and won the Gross with 22 gr/pts.

Twos were recorded by – B.McMath, T.McNeill, W.Rice, J.McCarry, S.Campbell, B.Goodall, P.Mallon, D.Stirling and C.Cooke.

Eclectic

The following are the leading players after Round 4 in the Eclectic Competition.

1st. P.Dallat Nett 63 – equal 2nd. Nett 64 – B.Telford and T.Galloway – equal 4th. Nett 65 _ C.Thompson , Z.Kane and
