Team Classic Salver

The Team Classic Salver sponsored by William Allen Meats was the opening eighteen hole competition of the new season. The Salver was played as a 4 Man Better Ball Stableford. After a week of intermittent and at times heavy rain showers congratulations go to the greenkeepers for having the course in such good condition for play.

At half way the four man Team of J.Keys, G.Jackson, D.Currie and J.Wilson (Team J) was leading but under severe pressure from Team K (K.Devlin, P.Conlon, G.Lynn and J.McCarry) a point behind. Team B (B.Watt, P.Daly, A.Murray and P.Reid) were another three points behind. A further point down came Teams D (D.Murray, D.Rankin, A.Atkinson and H.Cook) and C (K.McCullough, S.Moorman, D.McCaughern and M.Moore) with Team M (M.Hamilton, J.Taylor, P.Steenson and S.McCormick) a further three points back. Through The Maple the Keys, Jackson, Currie and Wilson quartet was leading by one and two points from Team K (Devlin, Conlon, Lynn and McCarry) and Team C (McCullough, Moorman, McCaughern and Moore) respectively.
