Head PGA Professional: Phil Collins
Phil Collins joined the professional staff in GALGORM CASTLE GOLF CLUB in 2000. He spent 3 years at ROYAL COUNTY DOWN as Assistant Professional under the supervision of Kevan Whitson. After qualifying as a PGA PROFESSIONAL Phil played full time on the EUROPRO TOUR and IRISH PRO AM CIRCUIT and won the ULSTER OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP, GREENORE CHALLENGE and many other Pro Ams in the Irish Region. Phil is a GUI ULSTER BRANCH REGIONAL COACH and previously coached the UlsterLadies and Girls Squadswith the latter winning the Inter Provincials 2 years in succession.
PGA Professional: Ross Oliver
Ross joined the Professional staff in April 2013 and has now completed his Foundation Degree in Professional Golf. Ross grew up playing golf at CARRICKFERGUS Golf Club where his course record of 64 still stands. He represented ULSTER at Junior level and NORTHERN IRELAND UNIVERSITIES during his time completing his BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy at the University of Ulster. Following graduation, he spent time working in research before embarking on his career in golf; Ross competed full time on the PGA EUROPROTOUR from 2010-2012 and began his PGA training in 2013. In both 2015 and 2016 Ross was the IRISH PGA TRAINEE of the YEAR and 4th in the whole of the Uk & Ireland. Ross has won local PGA Regional events and plays when possible on the PGA IRISH REGION when his work and coaching duties at Galgorm Castle allow; Ross is a GUI ULSTER BRANCH REGIONAL COACH and Galgorm Castle’s Golf Development & Marketing Manager.
Teaching PGA Profesional: Alistair McDiarmid
Alistair has been a qualified PGA Professional since 1997 and has been a member of the PGA Professional staff at Galgorm Castle since then.
