Head PGA Professional: Ross Oliver
Ross joined the Professional staff in April 2013 and completed his PGA training in 2016 during which time he was Ireland’s Trainee PGA Professional of the Year for each of the three years of training and also ranked in the top-5 throughout the PGA’s international programme in each year of his training. Ross grew up playing golf at CARRICKFERGUS Golf Club where his course record of 64 still stands. He represented ULSTER at Junior level and NORTHERN IRELAND UNIVERSITIES during his time completing his BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy at the University of Ulster. Ross competed full time on the PGA EUROPROTOUR from 2010-2012 and has won local PGA Regional events and competeson the PGA IRISH REGION when work duties allow; Ross is a GUI ULSTER BRANCH REGIONAL COACH and Galgorm Castle’s Golf DIRECTOR OF GOLF.
PGA Professional Barrie McGoldrick
Barrie joined the Galgorm Castle team in July 2017 a short time after completing his PGA training, having spent the majority of his PGA training at Malone Golf Club under Michael McGee. Barrie grew up playing golf at Kirkistown GC and brings a wealth of experience on the custom fitting side of the business while also coaching golfers of all abilities. His equipment technology knowledge is invaluable; Barrie is True Temper certified and has completed his TrackMan University Level One qualification.
PGA Professional Alistair McDiarmid
Alistair has been a qualified PGA Professional since 1997 and has been a member of the PGA Professional staff at Galgorm Castle since then. Alistair coaches players of all abilities and enjoys playing on the PGA Irish Region.
