The NI Open will relaunch in 2024 and is a signature event on the European Challenge Tour and played at Galgorm from July 25-28. Galgorm is Northern Ireland’s premier tournament venue and the NI Open was first played at the Ballymena venue in 2010 and set all attendance records on the Challenge Tour. Former winners include 2023 DP World Tour Golfer of the Year Ryan Fox from New Zealand. The 2024 NI Open will be a family-focused event that will include the Junior NI Open.
Galgorm also hosted the tri-sanctioned World Invitational (2019, 2021-23) and was venue for the 2020 Irish Open on the DP World Tour, the first time in 63 years since a Northern Ireland parkland last hosted the Irish Open. Galgorm was also the original venue for Golf Ireland's Ulster Amateur Strokeplay Championship. Securing the 2020 Irish Open was a historic moment for Galgorm and demonstrated the progressive nature of one of the best championship parklands in Northern Ireland.
