The Robinson’s NISA Extra sponsored Order of Merit Stableford Competition is played over nine holes during the winter at Galgorm Castle Golf Club.
In Division 1 through The Maple, ten handicapper Rod Lennox was leading by a point but being hard pressed by Mervyn Foster (8), Stephen Mailey (10) and Scott Johnston (7). Up the Grove after a par, birdie and another par Lennox was still holding firm with a one point advantage over Mailey (two pars and a birdie) and Johnston (two pars and a birdie) with Foster (bogey, birdie, par) another point behind. In a close finish Rod Lennox parred the last two holes to hold on to win by one point from M.Foster (birdie, par), Mailey (two pars) and Johnston (two pars) who finished together. Second place went to Foster (better last two) with third place going to Mailey (better last seven).
Approaching the Devils Elbow in Division 2 Alistair McKervill (15) was one point ahead of Colin Thompson (15), Gary Hood (12) and Philip Galloway (13) with Simon Finlay (13) a further point back. Through the Grove McKervill (two pars and a bogey) and Thompson (par, birdie, bogey) were one point ahead of Hood (three pars), Galloway (bogey and two pars) and Finlay (par, bogey, birdie). McKervill came in bogey, par to win by one point from Finlay (two pars). Thompson (double bogey, par) was another point behind in third place. Hood (two bogeys) and Galloway (two bogeys) were a further back.
Only two points separated seven players at the finhish to Division 3. John Montgomery (22) was holding a one point advantage over Mark Connaughty (20), Harris Fleming (17) and Brian Sims (22). Raymond Strange (25) and Antony Blair (19) were another point behind followed by Andrew McKillop (18) a further point away coming to Beechers. Over Beechers and up the Grove Montgomery (par, bogey) was still holding a one point advantage over Connaughty (par, bogey), Fleming (bogey, par) and Sims (par, bogey). Strange (bogey, par) and Blair (par, bogey) were another point behind with McKillop (bogey, par) a further point down. In another close finish Connaughty forged ahead with a par, bogey to win by one point from Strange (double bogey, par) and Fleming (two bogeys). Strange with a better last three came second with Fleming third. McKillop (bogey, par), Blair (double bogey, par), Montgomewry (two double bogeys) and Sims (double bogey, bogey) all finished together another point behind.

Through The Niuc William Kennedy (19) held a comfortable three point lead over Keith McCullough (9) with Philip Alexander (11) and Andy Moore (11) another point behind. After two bogeys and a birdie Kennedy was still leading by three points from McCullough (three pars). Alexander (three pars) was another point behind with Moore (par, double bogey, birdie) a further point back. Kennedy with a par, bogey finish won by three points from Alexander (two pars). Moore (two pars) and McCullough (bogey, par) were another point behind.
