Lady Captains Letter
Dear Lady Golfers,
It is with great pleasure that I start my year as Lady Captain of Galgorm Castle Golf Club. I am really looking forward to the incoming year and my committee and I hope that you will continue to support the weekly and charity competitions. I would like to take the opportunity to thank our sponsors for their support in what continues to be troubled economic times. For our ladies who cannot play on Thursdays the Alternative Day will continue to run in April. There will be a new look to the Summer Charity Competition, news of which will appear later.
There are some special dates on the calendar which are as follows. Lady Captain’s day will take place this year on Friday 11 June. Remember that to play in the 18 Hole Competition ladies must have returned 4 competition cards, 2 of which must be from the current year. Our outing to Rosapenna will take place from Monday 11 – Wednesday 12 May. Let’s hope the Donegal sun will shine on us! The Away Day this year is to Edenmore on Friday 6 August and we hope to hire a bus for the occasion. Please sign up when the notice appears!
I look forward to working with the Men’s captain Mr Neil Fitzsimmons in bringing the 2 Clubs even closer together. The Ladies’ and Men’s annual committee match will take place on Friday 16 April.
Finally, on behalf of my vice-captain, Mrs Jackie Neill, and the Ladies’ Committee I wish you good golfing with lots of pars and birdies and maybe the odd hole-in-one!
