Galgorm Castle is delighted to announce their Official Charities for the 2018 season.
Cash for Kids and Cancer Research UK will benefit as our official charities throughout the 2018 golfing season.
Throughout the season, Galgorm Castle will designate certain dates as Official Charity days with special offers in place on these days and official charities will benefit from the total income on these days.
Cash for Kids‘ mission is to raise money for the thousands of disadvantaged children in Northern Ireland who rely on charitable support. Funds are distributed to provide relief from illness, disability or disadvantage among children aged 0-18. Cash for Kids assist in promoting the social, physical and mental well-being of children and young people throughout Northern Ireland, with a focus on improving quality of life as well as encouraging personal development and aspirational fulfilment.
Your support will turn tears into laughter, and your generosity will help break down barriers to create a brighter future for all young people who turn to Cash for Kids for help.
Cancer Research UK want to ensure that cancer prevention, detection and treatment remain health priorities for the Northern Ireland Assembly and Executive.
Cancer Research UK spends nearly £3million annually in Northern Ireland on a range of research-related programmes; we are the largest charity funder of cancer research in Northern Ireland. We are also actively involved with local communities in Northern Ireland, where we have over 50 Local Volunteer Fundraising Committees. Our annual Race for Life and Pretty Muddy events engaged over 5,600 women in NI in 2016. Along with the generosity of their supporters, they raised over £318,000 for the charity last year. We have 21 shops in Northern Ireland staffed by over 450 volunteers.
