At halfway in the 2 Man Betterball Sweep played at Galgorm Castle Golf Club Chris Cooke and his playing partner Colin Steele held a one point advantage over William McKigney and Kevin Devlin. The David Martin/George Small, Alistair McKervill/Mark Hamilton, and Jonathan McCart/Darryl Robinson pairings were two, three and four points further behind. Through The Maple Cooke and Steele had increased their lead to two points over McKigney and Devlin who were joined by Martin and Small and McKervill and Hamilton. McCart and Robinson were another two points back.
Approaching the Lowlands Cooke and Steele, after a par, birdie, bogey were still two points ahead of McKigney and Devlin (par, par, bogey) and Martin and Small (three pars). Another point behind came McKervill and Hamilton (three pars) with McCart and Robinson (three pars) a further point behind. In a very close finish Cooke and Steele with a double bogey, par held on to win by one point from McKigney/Devlin (par, double bogey), Martin/Small (bogey/par), McKervill/Hamilton (two pars) and McCart/Robinson who all finished together. Second place went to McCart and Robinson with a better last three. McKervill and Hamilton finished third with a better back nine and fourth place went to Martin and Small with a better back nine.

Through the front nine Harry Cook (17) was leading by a point from Shane McQuillan (4). Robert Graham (13) was another two points behind followed by Liam Reilly (1) a further two points down. McQuillan (par) joined Cook (bogey) at The Maple. Graham (‘ding’ at eleven) and Reilly (bogey) were another three points behind. Cook (three bogeys) was leading by a point after the Grove from McQuillan (par, bogey, par) and an improved Graham (two pars and a bogey). Reilly (par, birdie, par) was another point behind. Cook (two bogeys) held on to win by one point from McQuillan (two pars). Another point behind Graham (two bogeys) and Reilly (two pars) finished together. Reilly won the Gross and the Seniors was won by John McCarry.
