At halfway Norman Reid playing off eight was one point ahead of Gerard Lynn (19) with Paul Houston (5) and Mark Dunlop (7) three points further behind followed by John Robinson (2) another point down. With two to play Houston and Robinson were gaining slowly on Lynn and were now three points behind. Reid (‘ding’ at The Treasury) and Dunlop were a further three points down. Lynn with a par and a bogey over the final two holes finished as the Overall Winner by four points from the Overall Runner-Up Paul Houston (two pars).
