Billy Cull (6) was leading in the Ace Fixings sponsored Monthly Medal at Galgorm Castle Golf Club. Ethan Hogg (9) was a shot behind followed by Trevor Fleming (9), Joshua Hill (-2), Sean McCormick (4) and Cianan Mooney (7) a further one, two, four and five shots respectively further behind. Through The Maple Cull and Hogg were leading by two shots from Fleming with Hill, McCormick and Mooney another three shots back. Approaching the Lowlands Hogg after an eagle and two bogeys was leading by a shot from Cull (birdie, par, bogey). Fleming (two pars and a bogey) was another shot behind with Hill (two birdies and a par) a further shot back. McCormick (par, birdie, par) and Mooney (three pars) were close up another shot away. Hogg continued to lead over the closing two holes and with two pars came home to Win Overall by two shots from Cull (par, double bogey) in the Overall Runner-up placing. Hill (birdie, par) was a further shot behind and won Division 1. Mooney (birdie, bogey), McCormick (par, birdie) and Fleming (two bogeys) were a further shot away. Second place went to Mooney and McCormick won the Gross. Fleming won the Seniors.
In Division 2 at the turn Neville Neill (10) was a shot ahead of Colin Black (14) and Stewart Miller (10). Approaching the fourteenth Neill was still leading by a shot from Black with Miller another shot back after a bogey at eleven. Up the Grove Miller (birdie and two pars) was the new leader by two shots from Black (double bogey and two bogeys) and Neill (three bogeys). In a close finish Black (two pars) and Neill (two pars) were level on shots with first place going to Black with a better back nine.. Miller (double bogey, bogey) finished a shot behind.
Seamus Laverty (16) held a one shot advantage over John Fitzgerald (19) after the front nine in Division 3. John Caulfield (17) and Ross Smyth (17) were a further two and four shots respectively behind. After The Maple Laverty was still one shot ahead of Fitzgerald who was joined by Caulfield with Smyth a further three shots behind. Through the Grove Laverty (par and two bogeys) had increased his lead to two shots over Fitzgerald (par, double bogey, bogey). Caulfield (two bogeys and a double bogey) was another shot behind with Smyth (bogey, par, bogey) a further shot back. Laverty finished bogey, double bogey and won by one shot from Fitzgerald (par, double bogey) in second place. Smyth (par, bogey) and Caulfield (par, double bogey) were another shot behind.
Three players – Malachy Kyne (18), William Fleming (18) and Michael Burton (18) – were vying for the lead approaching the back nine. At the fourteenth tee Kyne was leading by a point from Burton with Fleming another point behind. Approaching the Lowlands after a par and two bogeys Kyne had increased his lead to two points over Burton (three bogeys) and Fleming (par and two bogeys). In a close finish Fleming with two pars tried hard to catch Kyne (par, bogey) but had to settle for second place a point behind. Burton with a par and double bogey completed his round two points further behind.
